Beeches on High is an 1870 Victorian home built on the banks of Spring Creek and close to the heart of Beechworth, an historic gold town (150m from Post Office).It is unique from most other Victorian homes as it is built upon the foundations of 2ft thick granite rock walls, which form another complete basement level to the home. All up the home is approximately 16 squares and consists of 3 bedrooms and accommodates up to 10 people (2x queen, 1x double,1 sofa double and 2x singles).
There is also 2 living rooms, a fully self-contained kitchen, large bathroom including a spa for 2 and shower, separate toilet, washing machine, dryer ,reverse cycle heating /air conditioner and 4 wood fires plus 1 gas.

Wright Cottage is one of 3 cottages at Glenwood on High at 56 High St offering traditional ,historic and unique luxury accommodation. Wright Cottage has been constructed as a lower floor (fire rated & sound insulated) to Kelly Cottage and as a total independent luxury cottage. It has been meticulously constructed using largely recycled windows, including leadlights, doors, baltic flooring, dado baltic lining boards, kitchen bench tops and many treasures from the 1800,s to give it the charm and character of a 19th century cottage to blend in with Kelly cottage above. (It would unlikely to be picked as not an original 19th century cottage). It comprises of 2 large bedrooms each with ensuites. One of these ensuites (with a large dble spa) serves also as a semi ensuite to the end of the living area, with a sofa bed for an additional 2 people. Each of the two bedrooms has additional bedding ,one with a sofa bed and the other a 3/4 single bed. Wright Cottage boasts great family style accommodation whether it be one family plus extended family or 2 families. It also suits perfectly 2 couples offering an ensuite each. Heating consists of a fan forced wood combustion heater plus a split system A/C and heater. Kelly & Wright cottages have been named after the historic 20 round bare fisted fight that Ned Kelly had with "wild" Wright over a horse theft that Ned was jailed for after he brought it from Wright. The fight took place on this property at the rear of the Imperial Hotel that was once thriving here in its hay day. Room price is quoted for up to 2 occupants.
