The Adelaide Writers' Week, held in the capital of South Australia, is considered one of the world's premier literary events. It is a traditional part of the Adelaide Festival of Arts fortnight, where attendees meet and discuss literature with Australian and international writers in "Meet the Author" sessions, readings and lectures. It is held in Adelaide's Pioneer Women's Memorial Garden and is free for the public to attend. In 2012, the event will be held from the 2 - 18 March.
