51 Ford Street Beechworth Victoria 3747
Gammons Beechworth is situated in the very heart of Beechworth, Gammon's is directly opposite one of the historic establishments in which Ned Kelly enjoyed a drink and a song. Overlooking the main street, it affords a spiffing view of any passing parades!
Gammon's was originally built in 1861 by Mr. Gammon the Druggist as retail premises. His progeny added the upstairs residence in 1866 and the private balcony was added in 2005 by the current owners.
A front doorway reminiscent of Georgian Dublin opens onto the gentle amber glow of a Baltic pine and cedar staircase, setting a warm welcome and mellow mood.
At the top of the stairs you will find a spacious living area equipped with TV, video, a capacious leather lounge suite, and a gracious dining area.
The kitchen is equipped with all the perquisites for self-catering, including a microwave, dishwasher and ridiculous proximity to the shops!
The master bedroom has suitable hanging space for your ballgown and an extremely comfortable bed for the recovery phase. There's even heating for your added comfort. The second bedroom is equipped with either a queen size bed or stylish bunks to suit your needs. Any artists in the family will appreciate this rooftop view!
There are electric blankets all round, an iron and ironing board, and there's even a hairdryer provided in the bathroom.
