Only a short distance from the pristine beaches of the Gold Coast you will find some of the world's most beautiful rainforests in the 20,000-hectare World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park & The Great Dividing Range. In total, these areas contain more than 500 hundred waterfalls. Gold Coast Hinterland is made up of the spectacular McPherson Range which offers plenty of walking trails and some truly amazing scenery. There are various National Parks within the McPherson Range all offering their own walking trails and activities. The Gold Coast Hinterland also features a host of wildlife and many different species of birds. Throughout the Gold Coast Hinterland there are a number of places where you can stay including camping grounds, and several lodges and guesthouses. It is a beautiful place to stay and very relaxing.
